I hope this message finds you all well, and recovering from the holidays. And that your holidays were full of merriment, cheer, good times, friends and family!! Even though I’ve been gone for a couple short weeks, I was in the same kind of weather as all of you here - just so you don’t think I was drinking sweet beverages with my toes and feet in warm sand in some exotic warm spot…
I hope everyone has received the notice that we were “shut out” of the TTSC Winter Invitational, and that Coach Kate found a replacement competition on the same weekend. This new meet is in Eugene, called the Otter Invitational, held at River Road Park, hosted by the River Road Swim Club. It’s been many years since I’ve been there, but at least we found another competition to try and achieve more state, regional, sectional times. Great work, Coach Kate!!
As with the weather, everyone’s training has suffered some. But to those that braved the weather and went to Canby, congrats on some great swims!! Although I haven’t seen the official results, I know we had some very good time drops by those that went. Look for your time improvement cards in the next few days.
On Monday, we revert back to our original practice schedule, the same as the fall.
If you haven’t volunteered to help with the Pacific Crest Inv. in March, please see Jill Baker. This competition will be upon us sooner that we think, and all the help will be appreciated.
Make sure to sign up for the upcoming competitions, as we begin our push to qualify as many swimmers for the state and sectional championships as possible.

sign ups for the last chance canby meet on Feb 15 are up tonight and will be taken down on TUESDAY night. So please sign up! NO LATE entries will be accepted~~ Also, sign ups for the Pacific Crest meet will also be up and stay up for a while. sign ups for STATE and Sectionals are up. Please sign up, EVEN the SENIORS for any sectional meet they plan on attending.
We will not be able to attend the TTSC swim meet at the end of Jan. We will instead be attending the Otter invite in Eugene. Please see below
ok, not a worry, got into the Otter invite in Eugene, SAME weekend! But if you can send out an email. I will put the SAME kids in the meet unless I hear otherwise from any parents. Whew!!! kp
Kate, I miscalculated the number of swimmers in the meet. I forgot to add our own team, TTSC into it. It looks like we are not going to be able to get your Bearcats team into our TTSC Winter Qualifier. The meet director has changed the format to move some of the 11 & 12 year olds to the afternoon but that didn’t help your team. Even though you got your entries in early, THSC, TDPS, HEAT & MAC got their entries in ahead of you. Sorry to give you the bad news.
The animal meet is in Canby tomorrow. They have changed the meet to a one day meet, Sat. only. Warm ups are 12 and under at 7:00 and 13 and over at 11:00. Drive carefully.
