Dear Families:
Here is the latest of news regarding your favorite swim club, just a brief one this time.
1) As I mistakenly printed last time, the Mike Morris Invitational dates are June 20-22, at Amazon pool in Eugene. 2) Make sure you have your swimmer signed up for the last of the summer’s competitions. The next one to be sent will be Eugene City’s Invitational, slated for July 11-13th. Any OSI 10 & under “A” qualifier can NOT swim those events for which they have qualified for at the state championships. 3) As the Olympic trials get closer (6/27-7/2) we want to extend our best wishes and good luck to our own Tori Simenec. This is an extremely great oppurtunity, and we wish her the best! 4) Billing statements will be placed in swimmers folders tonite, and should reflect balances thru today. CAT Inv. meet fees were: $3.00 per swim, and $5.00 surcharge. 5) Thanks to David Tran and Michael Strahan for getting involved with officiating for OSI. They will help in strengthening our corps of officials for future competitions. 6) The latest from Coach Kate and the status of her father is that he is recuperating (albeit slowly for Kate), and will be moved from ICU today or very soon. She hopes to return to Salem over the weekend, and we all send our prayers and best wishes to her and the family.
See you on deck,
Al Stephenson
